報告題目：Asymptotic Analysis of the First Eigenvalue for Sturm-Liouville Problems With Applications
報告摘要：This talk is about properties of the first eigenvalue for the Sturm-Liouville problems.The accurate asymptotic formula of the first eigenvalue on the ``jump set” is given.The results indicate that the asymptotic behaviors is only related to the values of the coefficients of the equationin the neighborhood of the end points. With an application, we discuss the monotonicity of the firsteigenvalue with respect to parameters involved in both equations and boundary conditions. The infimum of the parameterwhich guarantee the monotonicity of the first eigenvalue is obtained.

報告人簡介
Jiangang Qi is a professor of Mathematics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Shandong University at Weihai. He received the M.E. degree in Mathematics from Shandong Normal University in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree from Mathematics from Shandong University in 2002. His research effort concentrates on boundary value problems and the spectral theories of differential operators. Recently, his main concern focus on the optimal recovery problems from finite spectral data and some related results have published on ``JDE”, ``Inverse Problems”, `` The journal of Spectral Theory”,``Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications”, ``DCDS(B)”.
