報告題目:On asymptotic stability of Boussinesq equations without thermal conduction

報告摘要:We consider the motion of viscous incompressible fluid under the action of gravitation/buoyancy  modeled by the Boussinesq equations in the absence of thermal conduction, which is a nonlinear elliptic-parabolic-hyperbolic coupled system. A specific steady solution is considered in a two/three-dimensional stripe domain. Under suitable boundary conditions we show global existence and decay rates of solutions to the perturbed system with small initial data. This in turn implies asymptotic stability of the specific stationary solution. Some possible extensions will also be discussed.

報告人簡介

 孫永忠,南京大學教授,博士生導師。主要研究興趣是流體力學中的非線性偏微分方程。在可壓縮Navier-Stokes方程解的正則性和爆破判别準則、Boussinesq方程組和磁流體力學方程組的整體适定性以及理想磁流體自由邊界問題等方面做了一系列工作。在CPAMCMPARMAJMPAJDENonlinearity等國際期刊上發表多篇論文。
